Our History

Established in 2006 by current owner and director John Pederick, the name Nova comes from our county name of Avon spelled backwards. John originally took redundancy from another local transport company here in Bristol to pursue his career in Auckland New Zealand where he had a job offer as a transport manager. Before emigrating, John noticed a gap within the local haulage industry and decided to stay here in the UK and start his own haulage adventure.

Our first vehicle was a 2002 MAN ME 220 B 18 tonne rigid.

The adventure continued as Nova progressed into new markets within the transport industry with the arrival of a 26 tonne Mercedes Actros rigid in 2007 and our very first 6x2 2005 Renault Premium tractor unit in 2009. On top of this Nova also had a fleet of vans offering next day delivery courier services.

Originally the company specialised in palletised deliveries which then lead to Nova running day/night trunks for various pallet networks and working alongside a major UK supermarket chain. In addition to this John progressed the business into the container market as this was one market he was keen on accomplishing.

After many years of working directly with major shipping lines, John made Nova a container specialist company by focusing fully on developing our expertise within the container market. By doing so we can now offer and facilitate all aspects from overweight containers, lifting, sales, storage, repair to delivery and collection. This has given us as a container specialist company the availability and knowledge to cover all aspects to suit every customer's needs.

2023 - We started our venture into the heavy haulage sector of the transport industry with the introduction of our very first STGO CAT 2 tractor unit.
